Pakistan's central bank foreign exchange reserves reach 9.4 bln USD

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) — The State Bank of Pakistan said Thursday that its foreign exchange reserves reached around 9.4 billion U.S. dollars during the week ending on Aug. 30.

During the week, the bank’s reserves saw an increase of 33 million dollars, the central bank said in a statement.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came at around 5.3 billion dollars, the central bank said.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at about 14.7 billion dollars, it said.
