Ajay Devgn’s “Singham Again” Aims to Surpass Aamir Khan with a Record-Breaking Diwali Opening of 50 Crores+

According to reports, Singham Again is coming on Diwali. If true, the film has a chance to become the biggest Diwali opener at the box office.

Unlike 2023, Bollywood does not have many big films in 2024. Earlier this year, we saw a big release in the form of Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter. During Eid we saw Big Mian, Chhote Mian and Maidan hitting the theatres. Now, the next big release is Ajay Devgan’s Singham Again, which has the potential to break some box office records. Both Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty saw their last film fail miserably at the Indian box office. Ajay saw a setback with the field, while Rohit saw his circus become a disaster. Still, both have the potential to make huge returns and be fireworks at the box office. And interestingly, both of them have a strong film in the form of the third installment of Singham, which could skyrocket if done well.

As we all know, Singham is already a big brand among the masses. The first two installments were very successful, and now, expectations are high for Singham Again. The pairing of Ajay and Rohit has hardly gone wrong, and this time, they have something on their hands that can surprise everyone with their performance at the ticket windows.

Singham Again to be the biggest Diwali opener?

Earlier, it was announced that Singham Again will release on Independence Day 2024. Later, the makers of Pushpaa 2 locked in the same date for their much-anticipated sequel. Since both the films are big projects with immense potential, it was inevitable that the makers of the two films would come to a solution and avoid hurting each other’s business, and that’s exactly what happened.

According to reports, Singham Again will now release during Diwali. If this turns out to be true, the film will have a chance to become the biggest opener of Diwali. As of now, the record is held by Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan (52.25 crores), and if the Ajay Devgan starrer releases solo, it could cross that number. However, even Karthik Aaryan’s Bhol Bholiya 3 is coming during Diwali. So, it will be interesting to see if Ajay’s film secures a solo release or it comes in a clash.
